Maitland Gladiators Motorcycle Club will host the ninth annual Les Darcy Day Boxing Fundraiser this Saturday at the Gladiators clubhouse.

The exhibition will feature boxers from Maitland City and Round Table Boxing Clubs as well as boxers from Toronto, Grafton and Windale PCYC.

Monkey from the Gladiators said the aim of the exhibition was to raise money for the Les Darcy Committee.

"Over the past nine years we have raised over $14, 000," he said.

"The money will go towards upkeep of Les Darcy's grave and maintaining the Les Darcy museum."

The Gladiators are avid supporters of local boxers and also support various other sporting organisation and local charities.

Other entertainment on the day will include a Kaizen Ryu Freestyle Karate presentation from Maitland PCYC, raffles and refreshments.

Gates open at 1pm and boxing starts at 2pm.

All are welcome to attend.

The Gladiators Clubhouse is located in Portland Street, Maitland.
